Project Description

As part of an ongoing relationship with Excellency Group, Seed were approached to change the use of an existing building in Telford into a luxury wedding venue. The building previously hosted weddings in part but was also used for other purposes. The redesign aimed to change the layout of the venue so that it could be used purely to accommodate wedding ceremonies and events.

One of the key components of the project was the conversion of an oriental-style building on the first floor. We transformed this area into an inviting reception and waiting space, which serves as the entry point for guests attending weddings in the exhibition and banquet hall. The reception area is designed to create a welcoming atmosphere, setting the tone for the event while allowing guests to transition smoothly into the main space.

In addition to the reception area, we created a new exhibition and banquet hall, spanning 1,760 square meters and capable of accommodating up to 300 guests. This hall was designed to be the main feature of the venue, offering ample space for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other large events. To enhance the arrival experience, we included a stunning light tunnel that links the reception area to the banquet hall. This tunnel creates a visually striking entrance, making the journey from the reception into the main hall the perfect photo opportunity.

Due to the niche style of project, it provided us with a chance to continue to develop the expertise which we built up working on the Balmayna wedding hall in Bolton, also ran by the Excellency Group.

Thanks to this new layout, the venue can now host two weddings per day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, with enough time between events to avoid overlap. This ensures that each wedding feels exclusive and personal, allowing the Excellency Group to maximise their venue’s potential whilst still delivering high end experiences to their clients.
