Project Description

The proposal for Bridgeman Place Works envisions a mixed use development designed to create a landmark residential extension while refurbishing the main building to meet contemporary standards. At the ground floor, the project incorporates a coffee shop accessible from the North elevation, serving as a vibrant social hub for the community.

In addition to the main building refurbishment, the more modern extension is set to house a café and retail unit. This unit will be complete with a newly constructed kitchen extension and a dedicated entrance. A later infill extension will be demolished to make way for a private courtyard, which will feature the main residential entrance. This new courtyard space is designed to enhance the overall usability and charm of the development, creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Furthermore, the existing office accommodation building will be retained, ensuring the continued provision of commercial facilities within the site.

The building extension has been thoughtfully designed to complement its surroundings, significantly improving the aesthetic of the local area. By integrating modern design with the existing architectural character, the development not only enhances its visual appeal but also aims to serve as a compliment the ongoing regeneration of Bolton in the wider masterplan.

The strategic location of Bridgeman Place Works makes it an ideal site for a mixed use development. Its proximity to the town centre ensures easy access to a range of amenities. While excellent pedestrian, cycling and public transport links cater to the needs of the modern Bolton resident.

This ambitious proposal combines residential, retail, café and commercial spaces in a cohesive and well considered design. It aims to contribute to the economic and social revitalisation of the area. Bridgeman Place Works represents an exciting opportunity to breathe new life into this part of Bolton. We are starting on the second stage of this project in 2025.
