Project Description

This proposal aims to regenerate and restore this landmark historic building whilst bringing new life to the area by attracting new residents. The development is well situated for transport with close pedestrian, cycle and public transport links for the modern resident of Bolton town centre.

There will be 22 apartments over the lower ground floor to the second floor, which have been designed efficiently. High ceilings have been taken advantage of with mezzanine levels on both the upper ground and first floors creating interesting dual height spaces. A mix of one and two bedroom apartments are contained within the proposal.

The restorative works to the building, primarily focused on the replacement of the windows to match the existing design, aim to improve the elevations of the building. The existing lower level glass blocks are proposed to be replaced with windows allowing light into the proposed basement level apartments, the design of which is to match the existing, with stone sills and lintels.
